This blog will be used to document and share with family and friends adventures and stories from SHPC youth's trip to Montreat, NC for the Montreat Youth Conference. We invite you to follow us each day as we grow closer to God and one another!

A little bit about Montreat. Montreat is located in the mountains of North Carolina close to Asheville. It is a PCUSA conference center, which hosts six weeks of youth conferences during the summer in addition to two weeks of Worship and Music conferences. Youth from across the country come gather to worship, deepen their faith, meet new people from all over, and bond as a group. Montreat offers all kinds of opportunities for all ages. This year's theme for the youth conferences is "This is Our Story." We will be looking at stories in Scripture to see how they relate to our story, and how those stories, ultimately are our stories--they are the stories of our faith. We each have stories. This conference will help us claim and carry our stories forward. It's going to be fun!
